When the last paver has been laid and the last shrub has been planted, and you look out over your new backyard retreat, one question remains… Do you love it? At KD, our mission is to make sure you love your backyard when it’s all said and done.
Unfortunately, this is not always the case. Many homeowners hire a contractor in the beginning, and they don’t end up getting what they imagined in the end. Perhaps, the contractor was not a skilled designer. Or maybe they had several contractors working on their project, and it was stressful getting everyone on the same page. When you design before you build, we put forward a blueprint for everyone to follow. Best of all, you have the team here at KD in your corner ensuring the design you love, is the one you’ll get installed.

We work with homeowners who want to improve their lives by creating their dream backyard. We craft small and large designs ranging from simple patios and decks to backyard resorts with stunning swimming pools, structures, and outdoor living features.

The lifecycle of a residential design project is about 90 days. We encourage you to reach out to our team to schedule a discovery call where you will learn more about our design process and timeline.

We offer design services both remotely, and in-person. Some projects may require a site visit, while others may not. Our design team will help you choose which option is best for your project.

Scaled CAD plans are available. Our CAD plans include measurement callouts, material schedules for plants, pavers, block, and lighting, and elevation schematics when applicable.
If applicable, we can include site boundary, set back/easement data, survey/topography data, tree study data, and other sections and schematic drawings.
Construction drawings and sealed plans are available upon request for an additional design fee.

If you already have a design, but you want to convert it to 3D renderings, or you need plans drafted, we'd love to help. We will provide a custom quote to meet your design needs.

If you already have an itemized estimate from a contractor, but do not yet have renderings or plans, we'd love to help. We will provide a custom quote to meet your design needs, including your specifications from your installation estimate.
